Thank you all for your participation and support for ZOZ: Final Hour! We have received tons of valuable feedback and are all-hands-on-deck to improve your game experience. We will be undergoing maintenance soon. Please check the details below.
[Update Time and Method]
July 14, 10:00 - 12:00 Beijing Time (UTC +8).
The maintenance won't cause server interruptions, however, players will need to restart the game. Some features may be restricted during the maintenance period, so please keep an eye on in-game messages.
[Features & Fixes]
1. Slightly increased scores for players unable to evac to reduce frustration. Slightly reduced scores for zombie wins in mid-to-high tiers.
2. Reduced Ladder match unlocking requirements from 8 to 3 to satisfy players raring to participate in matches. Optimized matchmaking mechanics to shorten player wait times.
3. Moved up the map release schedule in response to players' interest in different maps in early game phases.
4. Slightly buffed the following tactical gear that wasn't being used as frequently:
Ammo Box: Removed ammo acquisition loading bar to increase utility.
Surgeon's Kit: Price reduced to 150 Zees (from 250 Zees).
BC GPS: CD reduced to 120s (from 180s).
Airdrop Flare Gun: Increased item quality of airdrops.
5. Upgraded Component: Stalker effect from "Increasing MOV SPD when crouching by 20%," to "Increasing MOV SPD when crouching by 10" upon finding it wasn't being used as frequently.
6. Slightly reduced the strength of the following skills upon finding that certain Mutated Merc abilities were overpowered and exceeding design expectations:
Lunge: Damage reduced to 25 (from 40).
Last Stand: "Every 10% HP lost increases attack speed by 10%" changed to "Every 10% HP lost increases attack speed by 8%".
Increased Duckwalk MOV SPD to 35 (from 24) upon realizing it wasn't being used as frequently.
7. Prohibited names containing unusual characters when in character creation or using Rename Cards since such names potentially result in name color changes and confusion in certain contexts. We will change the names of players containing unusual characters and send them Rename Cards as compensation.
8. Added a Discord community button to the login screen. If you have run into any problems, or wish to chat in our community, feel free to head on over with just one click!
9. Added frame rate counter at the top of minimap.
10. Fixed bug where friend invite wouldn't appear properly before entering the battlefield.
[Dev Notes]
1. We noticed high-tier players only placing signal emitters at several high-ground locations, such as at the top of apartments, clock towers, etc. We feel this experience is too bland, and are finding solutions.
2. Based on player feedback, we have realized that being knocked down too many times increases player frustration. To establish a more positive and intense battlefield environment, we are concocting new solutions to optimize the experience.
